Warranty & Care
Maintenance and care for your new mirrors
With proper care and maintenance, your mirrors should retain their beauty for years. Below are some do’s and don’ts to help keep your mirrors looking their best.
- Good ventilation will keep mirrors from sweating and creating condensing liquids which could be corrosive and damaging to any mirror.
- Always use a ventilation fan when steam exists.
- Be careful not to allow edges of the mirror to get or to remain wet over a period of time. Prolonged exposure to moisture, corrosive chemicals, solvents, solvent vapors and cleaning fluids will cause edge deterioration and silver spoilage.
- Do not use alkali or acid based cleaners. These can attack the edges and backing and result in a ruined mirror. Never use an abrasive cleaner on any mirror.
- Never spray cleaner directly on a mirror. Apply to a soft cloth and then wipe mirror. This will prevent “puddling” at the mirror edge where the cleaner could attack the backing. Be sure to dry all joints and edges thoroughly to be certain no commercial cleaner comes in contact with the edges and backing.
- Always use a soft, grit free cloth when cleaning a mirror to reduce chances of surface scratching.
Care and Cleaning for Shower Doors
To enjoy many years of service from this fine quality bath enclosure, proper cleaning is very important.
- To keep your glass shower doors looking their best please squeegee the glass after every shower and wipe the metal hardware with a clean soft cloth. This will minimize water spotting and make cleaning the glass easier.
- The safest method of cleaning your bath enclosure is by washing it with clean water and then wiping the metal and glass with a soft cloth or squeegee at least weekly. This will remove residue from the enclosure, and help keep water spots kept to a minimum.
- If you need to remove any debris left on your enclosure only use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser like mild soap and water.
- Brass towel bars, C-pull handles, and other brass hardware should only be cleaned with a dry soft cloth. Do not use any detergent or cleaners.
- Never use an abrasive or acid-based cleaner of any kind as it may damage the metal hardware. Cleaners that contain Vinegar, Ammonia, Bleach, or other harsh chemicals should never be used and can severely damage your enclosures metal finish. Scouring pads or sharp instruments will also damage the metal and glass components.
Clear Sheild
ClearShield is a unique polymeric resin that is put on your shower door glass prior to installation. Working like “non-stick” cookware, ClearShield bonds chemically to the surface of glass. It’s an invisible protective barrier against harmful organic and inorganic contaminants. ClearShield is specially formulated to provide a higher resistance against the two biggest enemies of shower glass: moisture and alkalinity. As a result, ClearShield keeps your shower enclosure cleaner, easier to maintain and looking like new. ClearShield is not a permanent product and the life expectancy of the product will vary depending on the proper maintenance of the shower glass.
The use of harsh or abrasive cleaning products will lead to premature failure and will void any warranty. For best results and to maximize the performance of ClearShield protected shower glass, rinse with water and squeegee dry after each use. Then clean your shower glass every 10-14 days using ClearShield AfterCare. AfterCare offers optimum cleaning benefits, maximizes the long life protection of ClearShield, includes an anti-bacterial formula and leaves a clean, fresh scent. AfterCare is also safe to use on all shower framework and hardware.
